Sharing resources and ideas for integrating ICT into the curriculum

We have made the decision to provide our preps with a set of headphones each. This is mainly an OHS issue to do with head lice - Thanks Lisa! Am now curious as to which ones to purchase. What are the pitfalls, if any? Look forward to some comments. I am happy to share our decision making process, but want not to have to reinvent the wheel.

We have done the same at our school with every child given a pair of headphones ($2 from the discount shop). Almost all students (90%) still have their headphones a year later.

In our secondary school we have placed headphones on the students book list as a requirement. These headphones were the ear bud type that we also purchased from the discount shop. We have these on sale at the office. One of the best things we ever did as we no longer have to listen to 25 different songs at the one time!!!

We got the Verbatim ones (by accident) from Landmark. They have been OK thus far. I would prefer the students to have one with a wound cord rather than a plastic one. I think they would be more robust. But they seem to be hard to come by. Teachers actually seem to be using them too. Which is more impressive :-)
